In my quest to organize my filaments, I came up with this solution. The print file here is for the holder that holds the signs/tags for each filament. The actual tags are NOT included, as I've made those through the Maker World sign maker. That is pretty simple though.

The idea for these was to have a place to put a visible tag for spools in storage, and spools in the AMS, and as you move them, be able to swap them easily. Additionally, I made signs for the spools as well. This way, it's easy to see what the filament looks like when printed.

I've not had to use supports to print these with normal PLA, but your mileage may vary.

For the swappable tags that fit this holder:

1. Use Maker World sign maker
2. Square plate, that is 50mm x 50 mm
3. Corner Radius of 10mm
4. I use a border that is offset by 2mm
5. Text size I've used is 20 for the brand/type then 24 for the color. This works best with a 0.2mm nozzle, but I've also printed with a 0.4mm nozzle with /decent/ results.
6. Thickness is 1.6mm, with text and others set to 0.2mm
7. Print in facedown mode

For the spool tags that glue to the spools in the recess that's already there (has nothing to do with this holder, but for completeness…)

1. Use Maker World sign maker
2. Square plate, that is 20mm x 46 mm
3. Corner Radius of 10mm
4. I use a border that is offset by 1mm
5. Text size I've used is 20. This works best with a 0.2mm nozzle, but I've also printed with a 0.4mm nozzle with /decent/ results.
6. Thickness is 1mm, with text and others set to 0.2mm
7. Print in facedown mode
