Hi all,

Brief: This is a 3d printed, plastic version of moza es formula wheel mod. With enforced structure to ensure the rigidity of the steering wheel. with optional button extension for easy access to S1, S2, LT, RT buttons while sim racing.

I am new to sim racing and got a R3 bundle from MOZA racing. The steeling wheel is great but not build for F1, formula style. I know Moza has the replacement wheel cover but I can't get it from Amazon for a reasonable price. some third party seller sell it for $99 which is insane.

So, I want to build my own version. Yes the design is no way as clean look as the moza version, but for plastic, you do need some extra rib and beams to keep it strong. The least thing you wanna feel is you have an unreliable wheel while racing. And the out some is good, basically no wiggle at all, I tried to pull it real hard and the first thing moved is my desk. So I am happy about the strength.

I first print with ABS ,but, to be honest, I end up using pla, because I coundnlt tell the difference. All the settings are in the file.

As you can see, I've also add a screw-on “extra rigid-ter” on the back to give it extra rigidity. It is a little overkilled but you can decide if you wanna add it or not. If you do need them, go to homedepot or low's, get a bag round head tapping screw #6-¾. you will need 4 of them.

The biggest complain I had while using the original wheel is that the 4 buttons on the upper side is little hard to reach, especially when I try to active DRS. So I made another add on, now the 4buttons are extended to the edge and can be easily access with your thumb. Again, don't add it if you don't need it.

Replacing the Wheel is easy,just unbolt the 6 screw from the wheel, replace, and re-bolt.

For the rest, I used super glue to attach the handle to the wheel, and than wrap them with sport wrap from walmart.
