Modelo 3D PI 4 KVM Server Mount por TheTimminator no MakerWorld

Descrição

This is a simple bracket to mount a PI KVM inside your server or PC.

This system is Powered by USB, has ethernet and wireless connectivity. I use this on all the commercial servers I install as it saves me purchasing fancy server boards with IPMI or ILO ports.

This is pretty much the premium version of a PIKVM as it has the ON/Off and Restart ability and Ethernet as well as the usual remote support. You can also passthrough the video to an external monitor via the onboard HDMI port. I generally run headless, so I just use the external HDMI port (HDMI in for the PI)

In a nutshell;

You plug the internal USB C port either straight to the motherboard or out to a USB on the back of the case.

You plug the Video Out on the computer into the HDMI port on the back of the PI

You connect the PW Sw and Reset SW Pins to the motherboard

and lastly the Ethernet to your switch

You will need the Following extra bits to build the whole unit

PI 4 (just 2gb version is fine)

HDMI input (CSI Bridge)

PI KVM Control Board

Jumper Wires to Connect Motherboard to PI

PI KVM Image instructions and info is all at pikvm.org

Micro SD Card for the OS. It's tempting to go a super small card which will work fine but. FYI the PIKVM OS has this awesome ability to store images on the SD card and mount them as boot devices. Its great for keeping images, backups or diagnostic tools on)

USB Cable C and or Header connector

Ethernet Cable I'm assuming you have this but for the sake of completion I've linked it :-)

M2 x 5mm Self tapping screws

Last things

  1. I usually solder a couple of wires from the header connectors kit to the appropriate pins on the control board and connect them back to the case power and reset buttons. Just means everything on the computer works as expected and you still have full control from the pi.
  2. I usually print the face flat and use standard supports with PVA as an interface material instead of upright like in this file. But upright seems to work fine.
