Water Waves to bring Life and Motion to Ocean Scenes!

Original design for the 2023 Christmas Community Print Drive.

These water waves blocks can be displayed with other items to create an ocean scene. These work well with your favorite ship, boat, or 3DBenchy! Or use them with some printed sea life creatures. The waves may be printed on their side or standing up without supports.

Additional Information and Print Settings

Model is approximately 150 x 24 x 25 mm. I printed with 0.2 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 15% infill, and 4 top and bottom layers. No supports. No raft.

Waves with white tops were printed with the model rotated up and a filament swap at 21 mm.

Pro Tip: If your print bed moves in the y-direction and you print with the waves standing up, you may want to rotate it to align in the y-direction to avoid wobble.
