ABOUT STEALTH PRESS ZERO

Stealth Press is a highly precise, mostly printed DIY heat set insert tool for generic, TS100/101, and Pinecil soldering irons.

Stealth Press Zero is small footprint version of Stealth Press. ZERO comes with the updated design, simpler BOM and many QoL improvements.

Mini and mighty.

Stealth Press Zero is built with accounting precision provided by 150mm rail with MGN9H linear rail bearing providing a stable spine to build every other component around it.

Integrated, printable build plate adds another critical element for precision and easiness to work with.

Stealth press uses budget savvy retractable device and has few or more quirks, features, and QoL improvements compared to similar projects.

Generic with outer handle diameter from 16mm — 20mm, TS100/101 or Pinecil.

Here are print guidelines for you to follow in order to have decent success with printing parts:

You can succeed with Support cubic infill type (slicer support may vary) and as little as 21% infill for all parts if are aiming for faster print speeds and less filament usage.

PLA, PLA+, and PETG are also considerable filament choices. However, take into account that soldering iron radiates some indirect heat. The usage of less temperature-stable filaments may result in part deformations over time.

A wall count of 4 is an absolute must to ensure the structural integrity of the parts. There is no need to go over the top with this. 4 are just fine for this particular build.

File naming for printed parts:

The parts use this naming convention:

• PRIMARY COLOR — These files will have nothing at the start of the filename.
   
• ACCENT COLOR — Files have “[a]” to the front of any STL file that is intended to be printed with accent color.
   
• REVISION NUMBER — i.e. r1.0 stands for first revision of particular file. I update files fairly regularly taking into account community feedback. Always check/download the very latest versions to ensure the best build experience. 
   
• COUNT OF PARTS — Files have “x1” to “x3” at the end of any STL file. The number represents the count of identical parts to be printed.
