The box prints flat for the best finish and to save filament and time for the multi-color pattern.

There are several different color patterns:

• Fancy gift box
• Fancy Gift Box 2
• Fancy Gift Box 3
• Fancy Gift Box 4
• Foldable single-color gift box

Printing Tips:

Good adhesion for the first layer is really important!  The pattern results in many small pieces being printed and I had some trouble with bits coming loose and messing up the print.  There are a few things to try for best results:

• Use a clean build plate.  
• Apply glue or hairspray to the build plate to increase adhesion.
• Use dry filament.  I had a lot of trouble with wet filament not sticking well to the build plate.
• Advanced: In the slicer, ensure that the connected pattern is printed first.  See “Set the filament printing sequence” on the bambulab wiki.

The box folds easily after printing using living hinges.  Living hinges are made by printing just a thin layer of material.  I've been playing around with these and they should fold without breaking.

The interlocking walls should stay together well. You can apply a little superglue for a permanent bond.
