I wanted a herringbone planetary gear spinner that spun as long as possible - and the ones out there didn't quite work well enough for my fidgeting habits. So I used a customised version of this great design but added some texture and weight to the outside while removing weight from the inside gears to get it to spin as long as possible.

Use the including print profile or make sure to add lots of walls as this allows the weight to remain on the outside helping it spin for a long time.

These can be quite tricky to loosen when they come off the plate - I use a monkey grip to hold the middle while I spin the outside. Then adding a tiny drop of lubricant oil helps this spin beautifully!
