Just place your header pins into the tool, making sure the pins match the corresponding numbers on the tool. After that, use your fingers (although I find a pair of long-nose pliers to be more effective) to bend the exposed header pins and snap them off!

This device is designed to accurately snap headers for any pin count between 1 and 19.
