I designed a new version of the magnets connection based on V3.0, the magnets are from the Maker's Beginner Kit(ZC002). The magnets help to assemble the scissors easily.  Models and print profiles are all updated as well(with lefty type).

Also, I designed a series of models, in which the non-3D printing parts are all from the Maker's Beginner Kit, as the image shows below:

This is a 3D printable scissors I designed recently. It has a round tip and all plastic parts, so it could be safe to use for kids.

Although the design is based on the safety needs of kids, there are risks when printing or using inappropriately. Please use it carefully.I do not assume any responsibility for any consequences caused during this model.

The best material I test is Bambulabs PLA Tough or BambuLabs PLA-CF, you can try others as well.

Updated20240328 / Version 3.0 - Joint Parts

The previous version's joint is still easy to break when punching, so I added a chamfer edge to the joint part, as shown in the image, now it's easier to punch together. Have fun!

Updated20240327 / Version 3.0

Modified the direction of the finger ring to improve the grip feeling; Flattened the top of the joint, to make it not easy to break when punched in with a hammer. The size is for kids, you can scale it to 110-120% for adults. All files are in the "Scissors4Kids3.0.zip", See images to get more information.

Updated20240325 / Version 2.0

Someone suggested modifying one of the rings to fit 2 fingers and adding Lefty type, so I did it. Also, I modified the joint parts, it's easier to punch in than the 1.0 version. You can download the parts with the name “2.0” to try them out. The version 1.0 is still lovely, so I keep it online.
