The Layerform Modular Clock is a fully illuminated wall and desk clock built around a reusable internal platform.

Choose from four interchangeable frame styles and a growing collection of traditional, decorative, educational, sports, and children’s clock faces. The clock’s internal structure remains the same, allowing you to change its appearance without rebuilding the complete clock.

The initial complete-build profile includes the Tight Rib frame and Traditional Arabic clock face. Additional profiles contain the full frame collection and the available clock-face library.

New clock faces can be added to the collection without changing the clock’s underlying architecture.

Distribution:

• 3 heat-set inserts and screws for the front carrier/upframe
• 7 heat-set inserts and screws for the rear backplate

Black screws were used on the backplate and silver screws on the carrier in the pictured build, but screw color is cosmetic.

Standard and relatively flat clock faces

Use the EMOON High-Torque 12888 silent-sweep movement with a 5/8-inch total shaft.

The longer version should be used for faces such as the Circle Game face where raised artwork surrounds the movement shaft.

The strip must fit the clock’s 8 mm internal LED channel. The USB controller and cable are housed in the integrated rear lighting compartment.
