3D model MorphCase - Customizable Modular PC Case by DanilaDoesEngineering on MakerWorld

Description

MorphCase

A modular, fully 3D-printable PC case built for customization

Youtube video:

BEFORE PRINTING Please read the front-I/O compatibility note below. The original PCB is no longer readily available, so you may need to adapt the included STEP files for another front-I/O board.

A PC case that can change with your build

MorphCase is a complete 3D-printable PC enclosure designed around flexibility. The internal structure can be used by itself as an open-frame rack, or combined with the outer shell for a finished enclosed case. The segmented construction also makes it easy to experiment with different colors, materials, panel patterns and future design variations without replacing the entire case.

Key features

Open-rack and fully enclosed configurations

Modular printed construction with replaceable exterior sections

Support for a full PC build with motherboard, PSU and dedicated GPU

Ventilated side, top and rear panels

Integrated GPU support and panel-mounted AC extension

Front USB, audio and power controls

Included STEP source files for customization and hardware adaptation

Designed for color mixing and future panel or shell variations

Choose your configuration

Open-frame rack

Complete the internal rack assembly and stop after Step 7. This configuration keeps the hardware accessible and is useful for testing, display or frequent upgrades.

Enclosed case

Continue through Step 12 to add the outer shell, ventilated panels and press-fit front panel for the complete MorphCase appearance.

Important front-I/O compatibility note

The front-I/O PCB used in the original build was an OEM part sold only in mainland China. It was never widely available internationally, and the original listing appears to have been discontinued.

If several builders want the original layout, leave a comment. With enough interest, I will consider reverse-engineering the PCB and producing a solderable replacement with matching dimensions.

Otherwise, select another front-I/O board and adapt the enclosure around it. The STEP source files are included specifically to make this possible.

What you will need

Compatible motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler, RAM and storage

Power supply and its correct modular cables, if applicable

Dedicated graphics card

Front-I/O PCB or an adapted replacement

40 cm left-angle IEC C13-to-C14 panel-mount AC extension cable

M3 heat-set inserts, M3 bolts and the four longer #6-32 × 3/8-inch PSU screws listed in the manual

Files and documentation

The download includes the printable parts, editable STEP source files and a separate illustrated PDF assembly manual. Read the complete manual before printing or purchasing hardware.

SAFETY PC assembly and mains-voltage connections require care. Use a certified AC extension cable, verify all cable routing before power-up, and never use modular PSU cables from a different PSU model unless the manufacturer explicitly confirms compatibility.

Make it yours

MorphCase is intended as a platform rather than a single fixed look. Mix colors, design new vent patterns, modify the front panel or develop an entirely different outer shell around the same internal rack. If you build or remix it, share your version - I would love to see how the platform evolves.
