Overview:
These customizable 90 Degree Flat Corner Brackets are perfect for making a quick frame out of lumber! It's already hard enough to get furring strips that are straight, let alone a uniform size.
I wasn't able to find any models that fit the 1x2 (nominal size) furring strips I had on hand. So instead of modifying someone else's design, I made my own that could be adjusted to fit any board I may have.
Features:
- Customize to fit your exact size of furring strips. This could be used for something as big as a 2x4, however I would suggest adding extra holes in your slicer to screw into the sides.
- Sturdy design with recessed screw holes in the rear.
- Bracket is designed to take a lot of the bending load, since fastening corners on furring strips often leads to split lumber.
What can be customized?
Every callout on the diagram below can be customized. “Leg_Extralength” adds length to the length of the recess on the bracket, so increasing the value means the recess is longer (allowing extra screw holes / adding structural support).

Print Settings:
- No supports required!
- Use whatever filament you desire based on the use case and environment (Don't use PLA for hot climates or it could melt).
- 0.2mm layer height or lower is ideal.
- Suggested to add extra wall loops & infill. The included print profile has 3 wall loops and 20% recilinear infill.
Parametric Bracket System:
This is designed to work alongside my other parametric furring strip brackets (collection & additional models coming soon!).
