I needed to be able to use a 3KG spool on the K2PLUS, so naturally I searched online.
I found "Creality K2 Plus spool holder 2 rolls or 3KG roll" by Kevkie - [https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/creality-k2-plus-spool-holder-2-rolls-or-3kg-roll?source=61&profileId=67fbc6b995d0713596f5520a](https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/creality-k2-plus-spool-holder-2-rolls-or-3kg-roll?source=61&profileId=67fbc6b995d0713596f5520a)
I printed it out and found out quickly that the Polymaker cardboard spool edge would rub on the metal arm of the External metal piece which holds the PTFE tube and would NOT allow the spool to rotate which caused a print failure.

SOLUTION - Revised the file in the slicer by cutting it into two pieces and adding on parts, lowering the arm enough to clear the PTFE holder bar as circled in the above photo. Initially I printed it lowered and straight, then found that the 3KG spool would cause the metal filament holder to twist and the spool to be angled so that it would migrate further outward. I then cut the original again, dropped it down and added a slight angle so that the roll would slide towards the K2PLUS minimizing the torque on the metal bracket. It works great and the spools now freely spin without rubbing the metal PTFE holder arm.
This also holds 2 1KG rolls at the same time, One 2KG roll, One 3KG roll or even multiple 250gm rolls will fit.
To make printing easier I sliced off the bottom so that it can be printed on a larger flat surface using minimal supports and maximizing the bed surface contact while maintaining sufficient strength to support a 3KG roll.
I printed these in Polymaker ABS Galaxy Black on my P1S (K2Plus Out of Service for maintenance)
I noted there was cardboard dust and some friction remaining with using the cardboard spool, so I then created an adapter that is inserted into the cardboard spool which greatly reduced the friction, allowing the spools to spin easier. Two adapters are available, One for this longer arm and one which works with the original Creality supplied Side mount External Spool Holder Each set also has a 45 degree chamfer version which doesn't need supports to print --> [https://makerworld.com/en/models/3037036-k2plus-3kg-external-filament-holder-adapter-cones#profileId-3414409](https://makerworld.com/en/models/3037036-k2plus-3kg-external-filament-holder-adapter-cones#profileId-3414409)
