The original model is fantastic, but we wanted to create a bigger version that closely matches vanilla game textures and is optimized for easier multi-color assembly.

🛠️ What Changed

• Upscaled to 10" (254mm) Width: Scaled up to create a true "Mega" boss figure that commands presence on a shelf.
• Separated Held Block: In the original model, the block the Wither holds is fused directly to the hands. We split this out into an independent part. You can now print the block in a completely different material or color (like PLA Glow Blue) and easily glue it into the hand cavities.
• Vanilla Flat Face: The original model featured protruding 3D eyebrows on the heads. To match the vanilla Minecraft geometry, we flattened the face flush against the skull mesh.
• Recessed Eye & Eyebrow Pockets: To achieve the classic flat black eyebrows and flat white eyes without requiring a multi-color print, we engineered shallow recessed pockets into the face. You can print the flat eyebrow and eye pieces separately in their respective colors and glue them right into place.
• Custom Display Stand: The Wither is naturally front-heavy, so we engineered an offset pedestal stand to counteract the weight. It features a custom-molded pass-through slot with a 0.2mm clearance so the figure drops in and stays stable on your shelf.

⚠️ Note: This model utilizes Bambu Studio Negative Parts to modify the original model. The 3D plate preview on MakerWorld does not render negative parts, so the rendering may look a little different than the pictures. However, once the model is sliced and printed, it will look exactly like the pictures!

🧩 Assembly

Print the main Wither body, the separate block, the small face inserts, and the stand. The block and face accent pieces are designed with clearances to slide and glue cleanly into position. The Wither's lower spine simply drops right into the display stand.

💡 Behind the Design

As a challenge to learn the depth of Bambu Studio's built-in tools, all of these structural modifications—splitting the block, flattening the facial geometry, creating the recessed pockets, and engineering the balanced stand—were done entirely inside the slicer using primitive shapes and negative parts rather than exporting to external CAD software.
