🌱 MICROGREENS TRAY

Grow fresh, nutritious microgreens at home with this reusable 3D-printed Microgreens Tray. The elevated grid keeps your seeds above the water reservoir, allowing roots to grow through the openings while maintaining excellent moisture levels. This simple hydroponic-style design helps promote healthy growth, reduces the risk of mold, and makes harvesting quick and easy.

Perfect for beginners and experienced growers alike, this tray is designed to be durable, easy to clean, and reusable for countless growing cycles.

How to Use

  1. Insert the grid into the tray.
  2. Fill the tray with water until it just reaches the underside of the grid.
  3. Choose your growing method:
    • Small seeds (broccoli, radish, mustard, basil, arugula, clover, etc.): Place a thin layer of cotton wool (or another suitable growing medium) on top of the grid before spreading the seeds.
    • Large seeds (peas, sunflower, beans, corn, etc.): Place the seeds directly on the grid—no cotton or growing medium is required.
  4. Keep the water level consistent so the roots always have access to moisture.
  5. During germination, keep the tray in a warm place. Once the seeds have sprouted, move it to a bright location with indirect sunlight or under a grow light.
  6. Harvest your microgreens when they reach the desired size, usually 7–10 days after sowing.

Stackable Design

The trays are fully stackable, making storage simple and efficient. You can also stack multiple trays when not in use to save space, making them ideal for growers with several sets.

Recommended Print Settings

For the best performance and a watertight tray, the following print settings are recommended:

  • Material: PLA
  • Layer Height: 0.20 mm
  • Walls / Perimeters: 3–5 (recommended)
  • Bottom Layers: 5–8
  • Supports: Not required

Using 3–5 wall perimeters creates a strong, durable shell and greatly improves the tray's waterproof performance, minimizing the chance of leaks. Since waterproofing depends primarily on the outer walls rather than the infill, increasing the number of perimeters is more effective than increasing infill percentage.

Tip: If your printer tends to produce tiny gaps between extrusion lines, increasing the wall count or slightly increasing the extrusion flow (around 102–105%) can further improve water resistance.

  2. 发芽期间,请将托盘放置于温暖环境中。待种子萌发后,再移至光线充足但避免阳光直射的位置,或使用植物补光灯进行照明。
