Behold! After months of design and testing in my free time, I am finally at a point where I can confidently post these files to the public.  This design features a conversion kit for the P365 platform from Sig.  This is a “drop-in” conversion kit that features pic rails and a charging handle for easier functionality.

The main chassis of this model was designed as one whole piece and then split in half in the slicer so that it can be 3D printed on the split line and then mated together with bolts/screws.  This was my design intent as it reduced any chances of failure due to layer adhesion and it seemed to be the strongest print orientation for this project.  I have meticulously designed the chassis to clamp onto the front rails on the P365 frame and have also incorporated rear locking plates to keep the beavertail on the frame locked into place. This proved to be difficult because there are two different types of beaver tails that come with the P365 platform so I had to make a version for each one.  I then designed a “charging handle” that rests on the slide over the rear sight so you can manipulate the firearm while it’s in the chassis.

Last but not least, there is an angled magazine holder included in this design that is specifically meant to clip onto the front pic rail of this chassis. This attachment allows you to store an extra magazine on your kit, and it also serves as a crucial clamping point for the chassis/handgun connection.  This specific attachment is not required for the functionality of the conversion kit but you must have something mounted to the front pic rail in order to fully lock the chassis (This will be explained further in the assembly guide).

I am releasing three version of this conversion kit;  the normal closed version (original), the MLOK version (closed version with added MLOK mounts), and the open version (front opened up). You are able to choose whichever one you like best and you can even mix and match the halves since they are symmetrical.

Final Thoughts:  This was originally a personal project that I wanted to make mainly to improve my CAD skills, but also to see if it was even possible to do with a real firearm.  The looks or aesthetics of this design was an afterthought as the main focus was strength and function.  I designed and redesigned multiple components of this project over the course of many months and I am very happy with the way it turned out.  It’s not 100% “drop-in” as some screws have to be tightened after installing the handgun but it is as close as I could get it without introducing any crazy hardware pieces.  Feedback is appreciated, enjoy!
