My cutoff piece of my string trimmer was so dull the line would eventually snap and hit my legs drawing blood. I saw replacements could be purchased but decided to design one instead. This replacement uses a utility blade to cut the line.

Assembly
1. There are two pieces the holder and the sleeve. The holder slides inside of the sleeve and the screw holes on the two line up

2. Lay the holder on its back and place the utility blade with the notches lining up

3. Take the sleeve and slide it from the top all the way down so the screw holes line up

4. Use pliers to snap off the piece of utility blade sticking out of the holder/sleeve

5. Remove the old cutoff from the string trimmer

6. Use the same screw to mount the replacement
