A customizable slatted LED shade/diffuser with independent top and bottom diameters for cylindrical, tapered, and flared shapes.

Generate a parametric slatted shade or diffuser shell for low-heat LED puck lights, USB LEDs, fairy lights, and decorative lamp experiments. Adjust the bottom outer diameter and top outer diameter independently to make a straight cylinder, wide-bottom diffuser, wide-top/flared shade, or tapered lantern-style silhouette. You can also customize the height, ring sizes, base opening, top opening, slat count, slat width, and visible slat twist angle.

Safety: use only with low-heat LEDs and test temperature carefully. Do not use with incandescent or halogen bulbs, hot fixtures, enclosed high-power LEDs, mains wiring, or any situation needing certified electrical/fire safety. Printed plastics can soften, deform, burn, or trap heat.

Customization Notes

- Measure the LED base and leave air gaps for heat and fit.

- Use PETG/ASA only if you understand the temperature environment; PLA can soften near heat.

- Increase slat count for a denser diffuser look, but keep MakerWorld performance in mind.

- Set equal top/bottom outer diameters for a cylinder, or different values for tapered/flared shapes.

- Preview custom taper/twist/slat settings before printing.
