Description
A modular and stackable 18650 battery coupler / cell holder, designed to organize, align, and mechanically connect cylindrical 18650 lithium cells in a clean and expandable battery pack layout.
Unlike simple linear holders, this design uses a diagonal interlocking system.
The couplers connect through a diagonal male/female pattern instead of a straight-line joint, helping to improve the mechanical grip between modules and making the assembled battery pack more rigid and stable.
This makes the holder especially useful for DIY battery pack layouts, prototyping, testing, storage, and electronics projects where a clean and strong cell arrangement is needed.

Included Coupler Types
This model includes 3 different coupler versions to build both the internal structure and the smooth outer edges of the battery pack:
- Main coupler
Includes 2 male connectors and 2 female connectors.
Used for the central/intermediate parts of the battery pack where modules need to connect in multiple directions. - Edge coupler
Includes 1 male connector and 2 female connectors.
Used near the side edges of the battery pack to continue the diagonal locking system while keeping the external shape cleaner. - Smooth border coupler
Includes 2 female connectors only.
Used on the outer perimeter of the battery pack to create a cleaner and smoother edge without exposed male connectors.
This 3-part system allows the battery pack to be built in a modular way while keeping the external borders neat and smooth.

Printing Tips
Recommended materials:
- PLA for basic use and prototyping
- PETG, ABS or ASA for better durability and temperature resistance
Suggested settings:
- Layer height: 0.20 mm
- Infill: 15–25%
- Walls: 3
- Supports: not required in most cases
- Print orientation: flat on the build plate
- X-Y Contour compensation: 0.06
- Wall Generator: Arachne
For best results, make sure your printer is well calibrated, especially for dimensional accuracy and clean interlocking fit. Important: X-Y Contour compensation: 0.06 (For a perfect fit)
Safety Note
This is only a 3D printed mechanical holder.
It does not replace proper electrical insulation, nickel strips, fuses, BMS, spot welding, or battery safety practices. Always follow safe lithium battery handling procedures when building battery packs.
