The Emergency Stupidity Button is a customizable mechanical clicker

with interchangeable Button Texts and Text Base inserts.

Mix and match different combinations to create your own funny desk

accessory or the perfect gift for friends, family or coworkers.

Hardware Required (NOT INCLUDED)

A standard mechanical keyboard switch is required.

Before assembly, remove the two metal pins from the switch using a pair of pliers.

No switch? No problem!
Glue the Button Cap directly onto the Desktop Base to create a static display version.

Assembly

The Button Text can be attached in two ways:

Option 1 (recommended)
Glue the Button Text onto the button using a plastic glue such as Fixwant Plastic Glue.

Option 2
Use a small piece of double-sided tape instead of glue. This allows you to swap Button Texts whenever you like without printing a new button.

Printing

The included 3MF profile is already configured for easy two-color printing without an AMS.

The filament changes are set to:

Button Text: Layer 10
Text Base: Layer 9

Both were sliced using a 0.20 mm layer height.

Customizing the 3MF

The included 3MF contains the button cap and desktop base, every Button Text and every Text Base.

Simply delete the Button Texts and Text Bases you don't want to print.

You can freely mix and match them to create your own favorite combinations.
