I've been using my engraver pen quite a bit lately, both for general model building work and for PCB rework.  So much that I even got a second one. I couldn't find a nice Gridfinity bin for storing them though and it seems that there are a few variants around.  Mine came from AliExpress but there are many sellers around that seem to sell suspiciously similar items.

Selecting the right container for your engraver

In this project you will find models for two of the common forms you can find around on the internet.  One of the build plates has a thin slice of both bin types to check the fit on your own version.

Type one is a bit shorter and has a slightly curved neck on the tool:

Type 2 has dents in the finger part instead of the overall rounded neck, this tool version is also a bit longer than the Type 1 version.

Once you know which version you have you can print the right container.  The templates should be a quick print and take a bit less than 2 grams each to avoid wasting too much plastic.

Other bins included

The engraver pen bins already have space for 4 bits, in case you get the small set version.  But the project also includes a bin to store all your bits if you ordered the engraver with the larger set of engraving bits.  This bin stores up to 32 bits (4 rows of 8) and can be stacked with the engraver bin itself.

Since I'm usually working with small parts I've also included a small tray.  This can also be used as a lid if you want to keep the grinding dust out of your other bins.

Wrapping up

That's it, I designed these bins by hand using FreeCAD and its Gridfinity Workbench, the model is also available if you want to make any modifications.  Box labels for the engraver bit size are not in the FreeCAD model but were added in the slicer.
