similiar to commercial models, this clamps on the door at a suitable height and latches to the door frame, preventing the unwanted opening of the door from any one not tall enough to reach it. It does require one small extension spring and the pin takes some force. I like to sand it a little. also helps to place a silicone rubber band on the spring side of the door clamp to keep it from sliding or moving and will protect the paint
