This is a spacer block that can be used to mount the Betsy Flags Flagpole Bracket (reference picture with packaging) onto the corner of a porch post.  Pictures show this particular spacer mounted to a 6x6 post using 3 inch long deck screws, and it allows for another bracket to be mounted centered on the face of the post.  This allows for multiple flags to be flown.
