Markerless 3D scanning stand (with standoffs and a clip)

A holder for scanning parts without stick-on markers. The scanner tracks on the stand's own geometry instead. The relief is aperiodic, meaning the pattern never repeats and isn't symmetric around the axis.

Two sizes

Ø100 mm for parts around 50–120 mm, and Ø60 mm for small parts. The center mount is identical on both, so the standoffs and the clip fit either one.

What's included

The stand in both sizes.
Smooth standoffs, meant to be printed in black. Matte black barely shows up to the scanner, so the standoff drops out of the scan and you keep just the part, with no need to crop the stand away. Four tips: a Ø4 point for minimal contact, a Ø8 pad, a Ø12 pad for mounting putty, and a tall 45 mm version that exposes more of the part's underside.

Center mount (magnets optional)

The center is a cone socket. A standoff or the clip drops in and the cone centers it on the axis.

Magnets are optional. use neodymium discs 10×3 mm
