Descrição
This model is a compact, yet secure utility knife blade case. This fits standard utility knife blades, and has the capacity to hold 7-8 blades. To ensure security the swivel top lid is secured by two cylinder magnets. During research several related models received complaints about the security of the lid and those concerns have been duly allayed with this design. Even during rigorous testing (including dropping, hitting, and throwing) the blades remained secure. But with one easy push the top swings open. This model also boasts a simple yet effective “pop-up” option to access blades. With the case open push down on the bottom left corner of the blades and they will pop up on the opposite side, allowing for safe utilization.
ASSEMBLY INFORMATION
Step 1: Print the three case components
Step 2: Remove the support from the cylindrical hole on the case base by pushing a blunt object through the top. The support should pop off cleanly.
Step 3: Place the lid on the case base by placing the peg on the lid into the large hole on the case base.
Step 4: Rotate the model so that the peg is now pointing up.
Step 5: Drop a very small amount of glue into the peg hole and push the pin into that hole. Now wait for the glue to dry.
Step 6: Move the lid back and forth a few times to break up any glue overflow (it should rotate easily).
Step 7: Put glue into the small hole inside the case base and insert magnet.
Step 8: Put glue into hole on case lid and insert the other magnet. Ensure that the polarity is aligned so that the magnets will attract each other. This is crucial to the effective shutting of the case.
