Barbarian Capybara 

This model is part of my new Capybara Collection, a series where I’m exploring different versions of capybaras with exaggerated personalities, styles, and fantasy concepts.

– Sculpting Process

For this first character, I wanted to create a capybara that felt both funny and powerful: a calm animal with the body of a bodybuilder. The main challenge was finding the balance between keeping the recognizable capybara face and pushing the anatomy into a more heroic, muscular shape.

The modeling process started with the basic body proportions, defining the pose, the large chest, arms, legs, and overall silhouette. After that, I focused on refining the anatomy, adding muscle volume while keeping the design stylized and readable as a collectible figure.

One of the most important parts of the sculpt was the head. I spent extra time shaping the nose, eyes, ears, mouth, and facial expression so it still felt like a capybara and not just a generic animal head. The facial structure was adjusted carefully to keep that relaxed capybara personality, even with the exaggerated muscular body.

The surface details were added later, including the fur texture, wrinkles, facial lines, claws, clothing details, and the rocky base. These details help give the model more depth when printed, especially with shiny or silk filaments that highlight the muscles and sculpted shapes.
