This is my Desert Runner Benchy, a 125% scale remix of the original 3DBenchy rebuilt into a desert off-road pre-runner/class 1 style model.

The idea was to take the classic Benchy shape and build it like a custom desert truck. It has center-mounted A-arms, a back-halfed rear tube section, custom suspension details, big off-road tires, beadlock wheels and a rear-mounted spare.

This model is meant to hit that desert truck, buggy, Ultra4, Glamis, Johnson Valley, King of the Hammers, and pre-runner style. It keeps the recognizable Benchy body, but adds a custom off-road chassis and suspension setup around it.

The chassis/body and wheels print separately. The wheels press onto the printed axles after cleanup and can be rotated by hand once installed. They are not meant to roll freely enough to send it across the floor like a toy car, but they do spin by hand.

I highly recommend using the included print profile and support settings. This model has a lot of small tube work, suspension detail, and overhangs, so the support setup matters. I tested the orientation, support placement, and cleanup pretty extensively, and the included settings have worked well for this model.

• The rear suspension and tube layout are stylized, not a fully accurate real-world suspension layout.
• I may make a more accurate suspension version later.
• I may also make an articulating suspension version later.
• This version is mainly a display model and fun off-road Benchy remix.
• Supports are required, especially around the suspension, A-arms, tube work, and rear chassis section.
• Take your time during support removal so you do not damage the smaller suspension or tube details.
• Rotate the wheels and support the axle area with your fingers while installing them.

This should be a fun print for anyone into Benchy remixes, desert trucks, pre-runners, Ultra4, rock crawlers, RC trucks, Glamis, Johnson Valley, King of the Hammers, or off-road builds in general.
