Descrição
nyone with a workshop or maker space knows the struggle: spring clamps are incredibly useful, but they take up too much room. I designed this specific hook for the Multiboard system to provide a definitive, stable, and highly optimized storage solution. The design ensures quick access to your tools without compromising the stability of the mount. Thanks to a carefully engineered profile, your clamps will always be within reach, perfectly aligned, and securely locked in place.
- High Capacity: The hook comfortably holds 6-7 clamps hanging downwards.
- Extreme Optimization: By alternating the clamps (one facing up, one facing down), you can double the capacity to an impressive 11-12 clamps in a tiny footprint.
- Anti-Slip Design: A strategic small lip at the end of the hook prevents tools from accidentally sliding off.
- Multiboard Stability: The bare hook integrates flawlessly into the ecosystem, using standard parts for a rock-solid hold.
Assembly & Usage
You will need two standard Multiboard components: the Moderate Weight-Bearing Snap and the Locking T-Bolt.
- Preparation: Insert the Snap into the hexagonal slot of the printed part. Important: make sure the UP arrow on the snap faces the opposite direction of the hook's retaining lip. This is crucial to prevent the structure from falling under load.
- Locking: Insert the Locking T-Bolt from the back of the snap and tighten it using a simple coin to securely lock the pieces together.
- Installation: Hook the top edge of the snap into your Multiboard hole first, then rotate the hook downwards to snap it firmly into place.
Recommended Print Settings
This model is designed to be a quick and easy print.
- Material: PLA (or PETG for extra long-term durability).
- Infill: 15%.
- Layer Height: 0.20 mm.
- Perimeters: 3 or 4 (crucial for the structural strength of the hook).
- Supports: Yes, but very minimal. Only a small localized support is needed under the bottom flat edge of the mounting hexagon.
I hope this small upgrade makes your workshop organization much smoother! If you print my hook, please share a photo in the "Makes" section—I’d love to see it in action on your Multiboard setups. Do you have ideas on how to improve it, or have you run into issues with different tolerances? Leave a comment below! I always read all feedback to update and perfect my designs. Happy printing from TonnoSupremo!
