✨ HueForge Special Project – The Lord of the Rings Edition ✨
Hello everyone, today I’m excited to share a very special HueForge creation.
This is a hybrid design, combining a classic HueForge print with an integrated 3D model. And what better way to conclude such an iconic saga like The Lord of the Rings than by bringing together the Eye of Sauron and the One Ring, forged in secret within the fires of Mount Doom?
A piece designed to stand out in your collection and bring Middle-earth directly into your workspace.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
This project uses 5 colors, unlike standard 4-color HueForge setups.
It is designed for users with an ACE system or any 4-color multi-filament setup.
Please read the instructions carefully before printing.
🧾 PRINT FILES
The included .3mf file is fully prepared and ready to print.
Print speeds are optimized for the Anycubic Kobra S1, so if you are using a different printer, please adjust your settings accordingly.
⚙️ OPTIMIZED PRINT PROFILE
Use the provided print profile (you can save it for future projects if you want).
- Optimized for 0.4 nozzle
- Tuned to balance detail quality + print speed
- After multiple tests, this setup delivers the best compromise for fine HueForge details without slowing down the print excessively
🎨 5-COLOR PROCESS (IMPORTANT)
This HueForge includes pre-set color changes and a pause at Layer 9.
After slicing:
- Move to Layer 9
- Check the estimated time to reach it (on Kobra S1 ≈ 2h 35m)
- Start the print
- Set an alarm ~10 minutes before the pause
When the printer pauses:
- Remove the black filament from your ACE/AMS
- Load the gold filament for the final stage (the Ring detail)
- Tap Resume on printer screen to continue the print.
💡 NOTE ABOUT GOLD FILAMENT
Gold is not part of the HueForge image itself — it is only used for the Ring.
You can use any gold filament you already have.
If you need to buy one, avoid the mistake I made: the one used in the photos is Amazon Basics Gold, and honestly it’s not great. Any other decent gold filament will work much better.
🚀 FINAL WORD
Have fun printing this piece, experiment with it, and most importantly—share your results!
I’d love to see how your version turns out 🔥
