Description

The Spinning Comic Box is a four-panel rotating display built to hold up to 4 raw comic books at once — Modern, Silver, or Golden Age sizing all fit. Each side displays a different cover, so instead of picking just one book to show off, you get a slowly rotating showcase of your whole stack.

Each panel includes a slot for a clear comic backer, which acts as a front shield to protect the book underneath while still showing the full cover. The whole box spins on a bearing housing, and you've got two ways to build it:

Option 1 — 3D Printed Bearing Housing Print your own housing using 8 standard 608 bearings. This part is small but it's the heart of the whole build, so it needs to be printed carefully — see the Printing Notes below before you start. We Recommend using Rubber pads on the bottom of these housings

Option 2 — 8" Lazy Susan Bearing Prefer to skip printing the housing? This version is designed to fit an 8" lazy susan bearing instead. Just drop it in and you're spinning. [Affiliate link placeholder for 8" lazy susan bearing]

We've tested this with 50 comics loaded in at once and gotten a full 60 seconds of spin time on a single push — the bearings make a bigger difference than you'd think.

🛠️ Printing Notes

For the bearing housing specifically — this part is not a standard print, please read:

• Walls: 3–4 walls minimum, this part is almost fully solid
• Seam position: set to "nearest" — critical for keeping the bearing fit smooth and consistent
• Infill: near-solid — this housing needs to be dense and rigid to handle constant rotation under load
• Bearings: 8x standard 608 bearings required. We recommend Bambu's 608 bearings — Link Below — but if you want the smoothest, longest spin time, upgrade to ceramic 608 bearings. The difference in spin time and smoothness is noticeable, especially once the box is loaded with books.

For the outer frame/panels:

• Layer height: 0.2mm recommended
• Infill: 15–20% is fine for the panels — only the bearing housing needs to be near-solid
• Supports: minimal 

🎨 Customization Notes

• Build with the printed housing for a fully self-sufficient build, or go the lazy susan route if you'd rather buy that part pre-made
• Upgrade to ceramic bearings if you're loading it heavy or want max spin time
• Pairs well with our other comic display stands for a full shelf setup
