The 01 Explorer is the first entry in a growing series of buildable spacecraft kit cards. Each design focuses on a distinct role and silhouette, creating a collection of unique vessels.

I used the following Printer Settings in my draft/prototyping. (Your settings may vary)

• Layer Height: 0.28 mm
• 2 wall layers, 2 top layers, 2 bottom layers, 1% grid infill
• Supports: None
• Brim: None
• Material: PLA

Assembly Notes:

• The thruster parts nest within each other. 
  • On the kitcard, you'll see them arranged top-down to reflect the inner-most to outer-most order.
  • The inner most thruster part holds the other together with a spiral snap-fit. 
  • The main body of the thruster snaps with the rest via a ball-socket joint that moves.
• All other parts are assembled with snap fit clips.
  • I recommend assembling the main body first, the windshields, the wings, the engine/thrusters, then the bottom thruster.
• To assemble the thruster onto the spaceship body/wing, first put the clips in the spaceship body & wing. 
  • Flex the wings downward slightly to fit the thruster onto both clips. 
• The bottom thruster has breakaway supports.

If the clips are too tight, you can bend them closed slightly; if they're too loose, bend them open.

I swapped colors mid-print from red to gray to get this coloring.
