I recently bought several of the very inexpensive Zigbee motion sensors commonly found on AliExpress (often sold without a clear brand name). While they work well, their detection area is sometimes much wider than needed.

To solve this, I designed four lightweight snap-on caps that narrow the sensor's field of view, helping reduce unwanted detections and false triggers.

Why Use These Caps?

Many low-cost Zigbee PIR motion sensors have a very wide detection angle, making them unsuitable for locations where narrowed down motion detection is required. These caps limit the sensor's visible area, allowing you to focus detection on smaller zones in your room or setup.

• No supports required

Design Details

The cap is designed to fit securely on the sensor without any glue. For permanent installations, a small piece of double-sided tape can be added to prevent movement over time.
