The original handle on my suitcase sadly broke after a couple of years and I did not want to throw the otherwise fine suitcase out and get a new one. So I decided to use my 3D printer and my beginner level skills in 3D modelling to come up with this 3 part handle design (with room for improvement, but it works for me).

The parts try to resemble the original handle design and were designed in such a way that parts like the push button can easily be replaced.

If you want to make something out of this yourself, you can use the attached Autodesk Fusion / 3MF file for your purposes.

In terms of manufacturing I used some generic ABS, but PETG should also work fine. Then you just need to add 4x M3 heat threaded insert and 4x M3 screws and you are golden! (The design is adjusted for the heat threaded inserts I had laying around as well as the heads of my M3 screws).
