AngleMate Pro: adjustable protractor and ruler angle finder
One tool instead of two. This is an angle finder and a ruler in the same body, so you stop hunting for a protractor and a straightedge separately. The arm swings the full 0 to 180 range and the green knob in the middle tightens by hand to lock the angle you set. Once it's locked it holds, so you can read an angle off one piece and copy it straight onto the next without it drifting on you.
The long blade doubles as a centimetre ruler, so you can measure a length and check an angle without putting anything down. The degree marks and the ruler scale are printed right into the surface as a colour change, not stickers or glued-on paper, so they stay sharp and never wear off. It lays flat on the bed and prints with no supports, and it comes off the plate clean enough to use straight away.
Features
- Arm swings the full 0 to 180, and the knob locks it so the angle stays put
- Long edge is a centimetre ruler, so you measure and read an angle in one motion
- Degree and ruler marks printed into the surface, no stickers, nothing to rub off
- Pivot is all printed, no metal screws and no glue to source
- Print in any colours you have loaded to match your workshop or desk
Great for: woodworking · picture framing · carpentry & joinery · tiling & flooring · drafting & technical drawing · school & geometry homework · sewing & pattern cutting · model making & RC builds · leatherwork · DIY jobs around the house · physio / OT goniometer for joint angles · and more.
Recommended print settings (Bambu A1 friendly)
- Material: PLA for everyday use, or PETG if you want it a bit tougher
- Layer height: 0.12 mm for the crispest marks, or 0.16 to 0.20 mm if you want it quicker
- Walls: 2 · Infill: 30%
- Supports: none, it prints flat. Heads up: the ruler arm is longer than the A1's 256 mm bed, so it is already placed diagonally in the file to fit. Keep that rotation, or print the arm straight on any bed 300 mm or larger
- Dimensions: ~310 × 150 × 22 mm assembled (knob height) · Parts: protractor base, ruler arm, pivot knob · Print time and filament: from your slicer, roughly 110 to 150 g of PLA total
A note on accuracy: a printed protractor is only as good as the printer behind it, so check a fresh one against something you know is square, like a try square or the corner of a sheet of paper, before you rely on it. If zero reads slightly off it is usually a little play at the pivot. Snugging the knob down or slipping a thin washer under it takes the wobble out.
Printed one? Post a Make, I'd love to see it in your colours. 🖤
