🌈 Rainbow Organizer
A cheerful two-tier stand with graduated hole sizes and a pull-out drawer at the base. Originally I designed this as a crochet hook holder, but the first print landed on my desk and within an hour it had filled up with paint brushes, pens, markers, and the random art supplies that never have a home.
🔧 Assembly
The model is printed as several parts and uses two assembly techniques: glue for the drawer, snap-fit for the shelves.
Drawer assembly:
Glue the small alignment pegs to the drawer body first. These act as positioning guides for the drawer front and ensure it lands perfectly aligned every time.
Apply glue to the drawer front and press it onto the drawer body, slotting it over the alignment pegs. The pegs do the positioning for you, so no measuring or guesswork.
Shelves:
The three shelves snap into the side panels from the bottom up. No glue needed, but a small dab at each snap point adds extra stability if you want a more permanent build.
Snap them in this order:
Flat base shelf at the very bottom (this is the floor of the organizer)
Embossed shelf in the middle
Perforated shelf at the top (the one with the graduated holes for pens, brushes, and markers)
Cyanoacrylate (superglue) or two-part epoxy both work well for the glued joints. Apply a thin layer, press together, hold for 30 seconds, and let it cure for at least an hour before loading.
The design works in any color palette, try sunset, ocean, soft monochrome, or your signature studio shade.
Happy organizing 🌈
