Increased the material where the headrest post slides in to make is more robust. I made the hole area a little lopsided to allow it to print laying down without supports. Also added a slight angle to the vertical section to allow it to lay flatter against the seatback.

This vehicle-specific hook was designed for the back of the seat in a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie. Unlike a generic hard hat hook, this version slides directly over the headrest post and provides two hooks in one compact design. I use the upper hook for my hard hat and the lower hook for an FR jacket. I also printed a second one for the other headrest post to hold a safety vest and an additional FR jacket.

Fitment

Designed around the 14 mm headrest posts on a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie. The mounting hole is modeled at 14.5 mm, so it slides on easily. If your headrest post is slightly larger or the fit is too snug, scale the model up slightly before printing.

Installation

Remove the headrest, slide one of the headrest posts through the 14.5 mm hole in the hook, then reinstall the headrest. The hook sits behind the seat and gives you an easy place to hang jobsite gear without taking up floor or seat space.

Print Notes

I printed mine in Bambu PETG HF with no brim and no support, and it printed cleanly. The design is intentionally balanced to provide enough thickness and support for the hooks while keeping filament use reasonable.
