This mount securely holds the CPAP hose, greatly reducing the chance that the machine can be knocked over or flooded.

After a few close calls, I started looking for a way to mount my CPAP machine more securely. It turns out the hose is the real culprit. Tame the hose, and the machine stays safe.

This hose mount is designed to attach to the hose near where it enters the CPAP machine. Two hooks spread apart and capture the hose. The hooks are designed with a 21mm opening to fit standard medical tubing, and they’re easy to open for cleaning. No tools are required for day-to-day use.

Mounting the apparatus requires drilling a single 3/8-inch hole. It can be attached to a headboard or side table. Fender washers are optional, though they can make it easier to open and close the hooks without loosening the mounting bolts. They’re also recommended for thinner material under 3/8 inch, where they help spread the load.

Required hardware

• 2 x 3/8-inch bolts, 1-1/2 inches long.
• 2 x 3/8-inch nuts.
• 4 x fender washers, optional.
