This small hand rake is great for getting in and around your delicate planter bed plants. It has a fixed handle about 12" long and also and optional extension handle that slides over the original to reduce your amount of bending. The tines are nice and flexible for gentle debris removable. The extension handle can be adjusted to any length and tightened in position with a locking nut.

I printed the fan part in Bambu PLA Tough+. You could also use PETG (which would give it a softer feel) but I wouldn't use regular PLA as it is probably too brittle. The handles should be printed in PLA for stiffness. The locking nut I printed in PETG as PETG running on PLA is a little smoother and less prone to getting stuck than PLA on PLA. I also added a tiny dab of grease to the nut threads for smoother tightening and untightening.

To assemble the handle to the fan, you can either use a #6 or M4 wood screw, or you can just superglue it in place. The extension handle just slides over the fixed handle, and the locking nut slides up over the end of the extension. Note that the leading edge of the locking nut has an internal taper that should be facing the fan end of the rake.
