🍯 Recipe Guide for Different Pests

Depending on what you want to catch, configure your trap and fill the inner reservoir with these proven baits:

• For Wasps & Hornets: Enable side holes (medium elevation). Use a mix of beer, sugar, and a splash of vinegar (vinegar keeps useful honeybees away!).
• For Fruit Flies: Enable the Top Hole in the Lid and disable side holes. Fill the reservoir with apple cider vinegar and a single drop of dish soap to break the surface tension.
• For Ants: Enable side holes and set hole_elevation to the lowest setting ($3\text{–}4\text{ mm}$). Use sweet syrup, honey, or jam mixed with a bit of water.
• For Slugs & Snails: Enable side holes, set hole_elevation to the absolute minimum, and place the trap directly in your garden soil. Fill the reservoir with regular beer—they absolutely love it and will crawl right in.
