I added an outer reference frame with labels around the original test model to make the results easier to read and compare. This helps quickly identify the best ironing speed and flow rate combination.
-This calibration test is designed to find the ideal ironing settings for achieving a smooth top surface when printing with a 3D printer. The model consists of a 10x10 array of flat cylinders. Along the X-axis, the ironing speed increases from 10 mm/s to 100 mm/s, while the Y-axis varies the flow rate from 10% to 100%. This allows for a precise evaluation of how different settings impact surface finish and print quality.
Surface Types: This test allows you to evaluate three different surface outcomes:
Matte and the flattest surface – Achieved by balancing ironing speed and flow rate for a uniform, non-reflective finish.
Glossy and the flattest surface – Optimized for a reflective, polished look with minimal surface imperfections.
Maximum print speed with acceptable quality – Finding the highest possible ironing speed that maintains a reasonable surface quality.-
Hope you´ll find this useful
