印刷したいずれかの面を見ると(100)面、45°傾ければ(110)面、別の軸に45°傾ければ(111)面を観察できます。
ピンセットやニッパーでサポートを外す手間はかかりますが、視覚的にも楽しめると思います。
TPU 95A、PLAで2cm角のSサイズ、3cm角のMサイズ、5cm角のLサイズ、また、PLA Lサイズのみ原子配列を1.5倍にしたモデルも用意しました。
This model is based on the diamond cubic unit cell of diamond and silicon, with additional atoms included to form a complete cube that makes it easier to observe different crystal planes.
By looking directly at one printed face, you can observe the (100) plane. Tilting the model 45° reveals the (110) plane, and rotating it 45° around another axis allows you to view the (111) plane.
Removing the supports with tweezers or nippers takes some effort, but the final result is visually enjoyable and useful for understanding crystal structures.
The model is available in TPU 95A and PLA, in three sizes:
- S size: 2 cm cube
- M size: 3 cm cube
- L size: 5 cm cube
Additionally, for the PLA L size, a version with 1.5× enlarged atomic spacing is also provided.
