Transform your IKEA KALLAX shelving unit with this perfectly tailored, ready-to-print roller shutter system. This pre-configured set includes all the necessary rails and interlocking slats precisely dimensioned to seamlessly fit standard KALLAX cubbies, hiding clutter and adding a sleek, modern finish to your furniture.
Want a different size or custom text? This is a KALLAX-specific preset. You can create custom dimensions, tolerances, and text for any cabinet by using the built-in portal configurator i created on the Fully Parametric Roller Shutter Generator page. Default values in the generator are exactly the same used to generate this KALLAX size blends. So if you just want to have a slat with your name, change slat type to custom text, choose font, type name and click generate. In 2 minutes, you will have desired part which is fully compatible!
Multi-Color & Material Printing
The system is separated into 3+ distinct printable object groups, making it incredibly easy to assign different colors or materials (perfect for automated material systems):
- The Track Rails: The L-shaped and U-shaped side rails that mount inside the KALLAX cube.
- Standard Slats: The interlocking sliding elements. Print these in multiple batches to create striking two-tone stripes, gradients, or solid blocks.
- End Slat & Handle: A specialized final bottom slat featuring either a protruding hourglass handle or a sleek recessed cutout.
Parametric Visual Customization (Via Configurator)
If you utilize the main generator link, the visual style is highly flexible:
- Surface Patterns: Choose from smooth faces, ribs, hoops, diamonds, squares, or slashes.
