One day, I was prepping a lot of 2x4s for joining (building multiple workbenches). I realized I was wasting a significant amount of time lining up my speed square every time just to mark the same measurements. Thus, this jig was born.

The jig has holes at:

• 0.75" - great for centering on the end grain
• 1.00" and 2.5" - great for 1" offset from the edge of the 2x4
• 1.75" - great for center-to-center joining on perpendicular 2x4s.

I found it very useful, and now it is always in my toolbox. I hope it works for you too!
