The Ultimate Fruit Fly Bait Recipe

Fruit flies are drawn to fermentation and sweetness. Here is a liquid bait that lures them in but prevents them from easily finding their way back out.

The Solution: Fill the base to the internal line with a simple mix described above.
Optimised Wall Modification: The provided .3mf file includes a built-in print modifier that automatically increases the wall loop count to 3 walls from the bottom of the base up to the internal fill line. This ensures the reservoir is completely water-tight where the liquid sits, without wasting filament or print time on the upper half of the model.
Zero-Waste Multi-Color Printing: Although both parts are arranged on a single build plate, the .3mf print sequence is specifically configured to print the cap entirely before moving on to the base. This sequential logic eliminates constant filament switching and completely avoids purging waste, giving you a clean two-color assembly with zero wasted material.
Maintenance: Unscrew the cap, rinse out the base, refill, and twist it back together.
