This is a vertical mounting bracket for 1U rackmount equipment. It can be used to attach a rackmount device sideways to a flat surface such as a wall, wooden board, equipment panel, cabinet side, or workshop installation surface.

The part is intended for lightweight 1U devices with standard rackmount mounting holes. Instead of using a complete rack frame, the device can be fixed vertically using this compact side-mount solution.

For mounting the rack device to the printed bracket, four M6 rack mounting screw sets are required. I used standard cage nut screw sets, for example Digitus DN-19 SET-S or similar M6 cage nut rack mounting kits.

Please check the load capacity depending on your print material, wall mounting method, infill, layer orientation, and the weight of your device. For safety-critical or heavy equipment, additional support or a metal mounting solution is recommended.

Required hardware

• 4x M6 rack mounting screws / cage nut screw set
  Example: Digitus DN-19 SET-S or equivalent 19-inch rack mounting screw kit
• Screws suitable for fixing the bracket to your wall, board, or mounting surface

Printing recommendations

Recommended material:

• PETG, ABS, ASA, PET-CF or other strong technical filament
• PLA may work for very light devices in indoor environments, but is not recommended for higher loads or warm environments

Suggested settings:

• 4 or more wall loops
• 30–50% infill
• Strong infill pattern, e.g. gyroid or cubic
• Use a material with good layer adhesion
• Print orientation should be chosen so that the load is not carried only by weak layer lines
