# Catan Replacement Set — Settlements, Cities, Roads, Knights, Ships, Camels

A complete drop-in replacement set for **Catan**, **Cities & Knights**,

**Seafarers**, and **Traders & Barbarians**. Every piece is designed

to print supportless on a standard FDM printer (Bambu A1, P1S, X1C,

or anything with a 0.4 mm nozzle), with proportions tuned so the

result reads at table distance.

## What's in the bundle (15 STLs)

### Base Catan

- **settlement.stl** — 15×13.6×20 mm gabled stone cottage

- **city.stl** — 22×10×23 mm cityhall (taller, wider footprint)

- **road_thin.stl / road_half.stl / road_full.stl** — three height

  variants of the textured cobblestone road, 20×7.2 mm footprint

- **robber.stl** — 25 mm hooded cutpurse with dagger flush to the

  chest (cone silhouette, no supports)

### Cities & Knights

- **knight_basic.stl** — 25 mm crusader with mail coif + short sword

- **knight_strong.stl** — 30 mm knight with kettle helm + longsword

- **knight_mighty.stl** — 35 mm great-helm knight + greatsword

  (rank reads from headgear, weapon length, and height)

- **wall.stl** — 22 mm crenellated brick ring, locks to the city

  footprint

- **barbarian.stl** — 20×20×30 mm horned norse raider with axe

  (print BLACK)

- **merchant.stl** — 15×15×25 mm bearded trader in cloth cap with

  coin sack (print YELLOW / GOLD)

### Seafarers

- **ship.stl** — 20×10.6×14 mm multi-mast galleon with dragon prow

  and raven sail (print PLAYER COLOUR — you need 15 per player)

- **pirate.stl** — 15×14×25 mm tricorne sea captain with eyepatch

  and cutlass (print BLACK)

### Traders & Barbarians

- **camel.stl** — 30.9×16.8×20 mm recumbent dromedary with saddle

  blanket and side panniers (print NEUTRAL tan / sand)

## Print

- **Orientation:** every piece sits on its natural base (flat belly

  for the camel, flat soles for the figurines, flat undersides for

  the buildings + roads). All silhouettes are within the standard

  FDM 45° overhang envelope.

- **Material:** PLA. Translucent or pearl filaments make the knights

  and ships look striking.

- **Settings:** 0.16-0.20 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 15 % infill.

- **Time:** Settlements / roads ~15 min. Cities + walls ~40 min. The

  knights and large figures ~1 hour each.

- **Supports:** None needed. Tree supports OPTIONAL only on the

  light-stringing areas of the ship's underside sails.

## Source

`catan.scad` is included — it's a single-file design with a `part="…"`

dispatch (settlement / city / wall / road_* / robber / knight_basic

/ knight_strong / knight_mighty / barbarian / merchant / pirate /

ship / camel). Tweak the dimensions at the top of the file to

re-derive any piece for a different player count, game variant, or

table aesthetic.

## Photo

The included photo shows the full set printed in green, blue,

copper, brown, and black PLA together. The companion **Catan event

die** model has its own listing — search for *"Catan Cities & Knights

Event Die"*.
