BEDROCK3D Foaming TPU – Test Pad

Instead of a standard calibration print, this test pad gives you a mix of structures and features that all respond differently to your settings. By adjusting temperature, flow, and speed, you’ll start to see how the material expands, how it affects layer lines, and how the overall feel of the print changes.

Foaming TPU behaves very differently from regular TPU — it can become lighter, softer, and more textured depending on how you print it. This model is designed to help you explore that. It’s not about dialing in a single “perfect” profile, but about understanding how the material reacts. Some areas will compress more, others will show more expansion, while certain features highlight detail or layer bonding.

Right now, we’re sharing samples of our foaming TPU with professionals. If you’re a designer, company, or developer working on real applications and want to experiment with foaming behavior, you can request a sample through our website.

This material is still new and under development, which means not all technical data is fully available yet. We’re working closely with early users to explore its potential and continue improving it.

Layer Height: 0.32mm

Amount of walls: 2/6
Nozzle size: 0.4/0.6 mm

Infill: Ranges from 10% to 20% 

Support: The model does not require any supports. Please ignore any warning about overhangs in the model.

Orientation: Default position. Please print it flat on the platform with the walled bottom surface in contact with the build platform.

Adhesion aid: The BEDROCK 3D TPU 85A has sufficient adhesion to the build platform. No additional adhesion aids necessary.

Build Platform: Use the Bambu lab Smooth plate to impart a smooth surface finish to your Test Pad. Use the Bambu Lab  textured PEI plate for a nice textured grainy surface for your Test Pad.
