How To Use on MakerWorld
- Open the model page on MakerWorld
- Click the Customize button
- A new MakerWorld Parametric Model Maker window will open
- Adjust all parameters directly in the online configurator:
- Shape
- Dimensions
- Spacer height
- Hole count
- Hole diameters
- Screw head recesses
- Corner radius
- Labels
- The preview updates automatically
- Click Generate Model
- Download the generated STL or 3MF
- Slice and print normally
No OpenSCAD installation or CAD software required — everything runs directly inside the MakerWorld browser customizer.
Recommended Tolerances
For best real-world fit on FDM printers, it is recommended to add clearance:

Example
- M4 screw → use ~4.3 mm hole
- 8.0 mm screw head → use ~8.3 mm recess
Why?
3D printers usually produce slightly undersized holes due to:
- extrusion width
- material shrinkage
- slicer compensation
- elephant foot on first layers
The exact tolerance depends on:
- printer calibration
- filament type
- layer height
- print orientation
For very accurate printers:
- 0.2 mm clearance may already be enough
For tighter or rougher printers:
- 0.4 mm may work better
Printing Tips
- Print flat on the large surface
- 3–5 walls recommended for strength
- Use enough top layers above recessed screw heads
- PETG or ABS recommended for structural parts
- PLA works fine for light-duty applications
Notes
- Polygon screw placement automatically aligns to polygon corners when the screw count matches the number of sides.
- Ellipse mode places 2-hole configurations on the long axis automatically.
- All mounting holes stay within the geometry boundaries automatically.
