Meet the Flexy Mini Baboon 🐒✨
Big eyes, colorful details, chunky shapes, and absolute chaos energy 😂
This little guy was designed to stand out instantly on the build plate while still being fun, flexible, and easy to print.
The exaggerated face, bright details, and articulated body make it one of those models you print once… then somehow end up printing a whole troop 😄
And yes… before anyone says it 😅
I know baboons technically have a small tail too, but I intentionally left it out because at this scale and shape it honestly looked a bit weird and awkward in the overall form factor.
The cleaner silhouette ended up looking much better for both articulation and printability ✨
🎨 Included Print Profiles
🌈 4 Colors AMS Profile
This is the full intended version shown in the photos ✨
The model uses all 4 colors to preserve the key visual details like:
- nose colors
- facial accents
- eye details
- blue rear details
- contrast areas across the body
Honestly, reducing colors too much on this one starts removing the personality pretty fast 😅
I already had to simplify parts of the eyes to stay within the 4-color AMS limit.
⚪ Single Color Version
Perfect for:
- rainbow filament
- silk PLA
- painting later
- faster prints
- lower filament waste
Even in single color, the sculpted face and exaggerated proportions still keep the model super expressive 🐒
⚡ Customizing Colors
If you want fewer color swaps or less AMS waste, you can easily:
- download the AMS version
- use the paint/fill tools
- merge certain details together however you prefer
That way you can simplify the model while still deciding which details you want to keep visible 👀
✨ Features
🧩 Fully articulated & flexible
🚫 No supports needed
⚡ Easy to print
🐒 Highly expressive face
🎁 Cute, weird & collectible
This tiny baboon was made to look goofy, colorful, and full of personality from every angle 😂
🧠 This model was initially inspired by an AI-generated concept, with base geometry processed through MakerWorld’s Image-to-3D tool.
🛠️ The resulting mesh was then imported into Nomad Sculpt, where I manually increased resolution, refined surface details, smoothed key areas, and adjusted the pose for better balance and printability.
📸 All photos shown are of the actual printed model, tested on multiple plate sizes and verified for clean print performance.
