🌟  Custom "Soap-Bar" Dome 

This is a custom-designed, lightweight "Soap-Bar" style dome diffuser specifically tailored for the Godox iT32 compact camera flash.

If you are looking for a way to soften the harsh light of your compact flash during events, parties, or weddings without carrying a heavy softbox, this pocket-sized dome is the perfect solution. It beautifully diffuses the light both forward for soft portraits (creating a nice catchlight in the eyes) and upwards/sideways for excellent ceiling bounce light.

The geometry was procedurally generated using OpenSCAD to guarantee an easy print without any support material, a clean internal chamber for optimal light transmission, and perfect mechanical tolerances.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings (Tested on Bambu Lab P1S)

To get the exact same robust and premium results shown in the photos, use the following slicer settings:

• Material: PLA Jade White / Warm White (Translucent/Standard white works best).
• Layer Height: 0.12mm (Fine) for ultra-smooth slope transitions.
• Wall Loops: 3 (Important! Sets a precise 1.2mm wall thickness for great structural durability).
• Top Shell Layers: 6 (Ensures the top closes beautifully and robustly via bridging).
• Infill: 0% (Must be completely hollow).
• Brim: 5mm Outer Brim (Highly recommended since the object is tall with a thin footprint).
• Fuzzy Skin (The Secret Sauce): * Mode: External Walls Only (Crucial: do not apply to internal walls or it won't fit the flash!)
  • Fuzzy Skin Point Distance: 0.1 mm
  • Fuzzy Skin Thickness: 0.1 mm

Tips for use:

For optimal results at a party or event, tilt your flash head at a 45° or 60° angle. The dome will bounce a large portion of the light off the ceiling while throwing a beautifully soft, diffused fill-light directly onto your subject's face.

Note: Since the plastic absorbs a tiny fraction of light, you might want to adjust your Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC) to +0.3 or +0.7, or slightly bump up your camera's ISO.
